RIP Ruben Kruger

Ruben Kruger passed away on Wednesday 27.01.2010 after a long battle with a cancerous tumor on his brain. Ruben is leaving behind his wife, Lize, and 2 young daughters. Ruben also left a legacy behind, a legacy of an ultimate warrior on the rugby field, a decorated World Cup winner in 1995 and a fearsome flanker for the Blue Bulls, a gentleman off the field, and last but most important a devout believer in Jesus Christ. Ruben impressed me so much through the years that i named my one and only son after him.

I remember Ruben visiting prophet TB Joshua in Nigeria after the tumor had been identified. I am sure he totally believed God would heal him, and the prophet proclaimed him healed, thus for many years after he did not have any scans. In the end the tumor either reoccurred or never was healed, and he died at age 39. That was yesterday.

This is remembering Ruben for the fabulous moments he gave us, he was someone who made us pround to be South Africans and afrikaners.

Rest in peace brother, till the end!

I am not so sure that this is true… Why did he go to TB if God is supposed to be the healer ?
Does TB have the healing power or is it a Payer of faith that, God willing, will bring healing…

    • Hi Jean,

In response to your question”Why did he go to TB if God is supposed to the healer?”

This is exactly the issue, and unfortunately people and especially “christians”, most people who grew up as christians, thinks you have to go to a special prophet/apostle/bishop/ person who claims to have a healing ministry/pastor to get healed, because they do not know better. This is the reason why people like Ruben, Wium Basson, Jaco van der Westhuizen went to Nigeria. Jaco apparently was healed, Ruben thought he was, and TB wouldn’t pray for Wium, propably because he was too far gone, but if he- TB- is healing throught Gods power, nothing would be too far gone. Im sorry if i wasn’t clear on my point of view, while i am sure Ruben did think God would heal him if he goes to this “special prophet in the desert”.

I have had the experience where my pastor in SA has gone to TB, for the power, and he came back with a strange electricy power which he spread through the church at will. I for one wasn’t healed, although i was knocked over at a distance of 15m. Shortly after God led me away from there, but i’m still struggling with my health which is even worse now. I know God can heal me if He so wishes, but ay His own time.

See this excellent article on TB and Ruben, Jaco, Wium: http://www.discerningtheworld.com/2010/01/29/springboks-healed-by-tb-joshua-sadly-pass-away/

      Blessings

Your said “I have had the experience where my pastor in SA has gone to TB, for the power, and he came back with a strange electricy power which he spread through the church at will.”

I found these 2 articles very very informative and important to clear up why we should stay clear of these type of places. I do believe that the T B Joshua’s are very very dangerous indeed.

You said “I for one wasn’t healed, although i was knocked over at a distance of 15m.”

That power was not from God.

You said “Shortly after God led me away from there,”

    Amen!!

    You are in our prayers.

The 2 articles above is a good follow up to read, after the one on DTW as you refer to.
